Hello everyone. I'm new here. I'm sort of new to being a vegan.

A bit about me...

My name is Jessica. I first went raw vegan in 2004 while preggo with my daughter. I couldn't eat anything cooked because it made me sick. Shortly after she was born I went back to my omni lifestyle and ate really bad.

Since then I keep on trying to go back to being raw. It was a great experience. My pregnancy with my daughter was the best pregnancy EVER! I believe that raw foods played a large roll in that.

Well, now I'm trying again but I'm taking a different approach. I first went vegetarian. Now I'm going vegan. The step after this, when I'm ready, will be to go raw again.

I'm not a very good vegetarian though. Sometimes I eat meat, even if it does give me really bad stomach pains (doctors can't figure out why). I realize recently though that I have been eating unhealthy, even as vegetarian....even without meat.

I've read about health and how to plan a healthy meal. I found a book and some websites with awesome vegan recipes that I can't wait to try. I feel that if I have enough good food on hand then I won't be tempted to eat meat. I hope. I already love veggies and fruits and nuts and most beans. So that's good. I've never had tofu so I'm a little nervous about using it.

Well that's me. :)
